Liz retires after 38 years with Eastwood Park

Liz Hamilton-Mills

Last month we sadly said goodbye to our Finance Assistant, Liz Hamilton-Mills, who is retiring after an incredible 38 years with Eastwood Park.

Liz first joined in 1974 and has worked on and off for the business since then, her longest stretch having been since 1997 until the present – just under 24 years! Over the years she has ‘seen it all’, having worked under a number of different owners, before the management buyout in 2003. She has undertaken a variety of roles primarily in finance but also in hospitality, coordinating conferences and showing customers around the mansion house.

Liz’s relationship with Eastwood Park goes back even before she worked for the business, having grown up near the estate.

“My memories of Eastwood Park go way back… I used to go wooding with my Mum, brother and other family members, collecting fallen branches in the woods. We always had great fun and I look back to this time with fond memories”.

And Eastwood Park continues to be a family affair, with Liz’s husband having also worked at Eastwood Park over the years, along with her daughter Kellie, with whom you may be familiar, also works within our finance team.

Pauline Oliver, Finance Director at Eastwood Park commented

“Liz and her colleague and close late-friend Doreen were referred to as ‘the Dream team’ by a previous colleague – a comment I totally endorse – Liz has been the most wonderful person to work with for all of these years.

While I am sad to see her go, I wish her all the best for the future and of course there will always be a place for her here at Eastwood Park.”

Congratulations Liz, we look forward to hearing what you get up to in the future!
