How to make the most of your wedding fair visit

How to make the most of your wedding fair visit

Whether you’re newly engaged or are soon to tie the knot, there is no better way to kickstart your wedding planning than attending a wedding fair! Here’s our advice to make your visit nothing but successful.

Make a plan

Ask yourself what you want to get out of the day – is it the venue, bridal wear, entertainment? By having an idea of what you need to book and who you would like to speak to beforehand, you can visit those suppliers first and sort the key details. From there, take your time to visit the rest of the stands and enjoy the fair!

Ask lots of questions

As experts in their fields, the suppliers are there to help and guide you. This is your opportunity to get to know them and understand how they can meet your needs. And remember, no question is too silly. Chances are, they’ve been asked it before!

Wear comfy shoes

You’ll be on your feet for a pretty long time, so leave your 6-inch heels for another day! Also, you may want to explore the venue and its grounds, so comfy footwear is key.

Bring a notepad and pen

Perhaps obvious, but you’d be surprised how many couples forget to bring these staples along with them. Be sure to jot down any details, pricing or ideas of interest. These will be your go-to when making decisions in the weeks following the fair.

Set up a separate wedding email

Before the fair, create a separate email to use for all of your wedding-related correspondence. This way, you won’t miss important emails!

Enjoy yourself

It’s not a wedding fair without a glass of fizz and slice of cake! Be sure to set aside some time to enjoy some light refreshments, listen to live music and take in the atmosphere.
